Heating Water in a Plastic Bag

What do you do if you need to heat or boil water but you don't have a metallic vessel? Use one made of plastic!

Indeed, as an expedient survival method you can use a plastic bag to warm, heat or even boil water without suffering a meltdown. It is a method that requires a little practice but once you get the idea, it becomes very easy and almost natural.

One thing that you have to keep in mind, however, is that in some cases plastic bags might give your water some flavour or taste that it is not particularly nice. Anyway, we are talking about survival skills here and some water is better than no water at all, so if that is the case, either look for another bag or just bear with the odd taste for a little while.
